My story
A camera was always part of the story.
Before I had a studio, photography was already part of my life. I remember disposable Kodak cameras, waiting for prints to be developed and a gray instant Polaroid I had as a child. Later, my phone became the camera I carried everywhere. I loved taking photographs, recording video and learning to edit what I created.
My professional background is in information systems, programming and networking, with more than twenty years in technology. Alongside that career, my interest in photography kept growing.
The encouragement that changed my path.
In 2016, my wife gave me my first Canon Rebel. Years later, she supported that passion again with a Sony camera. Her belief in me has been one of the greatest influences on the path that brought me here.
I began creating photographs, videos and social media content for businesses. Some of those early commercial relationships continue today. With time, I built my equipment collection, developed my craft and opened my studio in Arlington. Sometimes it still feels as though I was just starting yesterday.
The people who gave my work meaning.
I photograph portraits, families, events and commercial projects, but quinceañeras and maternity sessions have become a special part of my work. I love meeting the families, sharing their excitement and helping them feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Why these memories matter to me.
In 2012, I lost my first daughter. When I photograph a father dancing the waltz with his quinceañera, I often think about the celebration I would have shared with her. Sometimes my eyes fill with tears behind the camera.
That love is part of the care I bring to these celebrations. I understand, in a very personal way, how much a moment with the people we love can mean.
A session where you can feel at ease.
Patience is central to how I work. I pay attention to expressions, gestures and the moments when someone needs more guidance or a little time to relax. I want you to enjoy your session and feel comfortable being yourself.
I bring that same attention to editing: thoughtful lighting, careful retouching and an eye for detail, always with the person in the photograph at the center of the work.
Photography has introduced me to families from many backgrounds and cultures across North Texas. As a Puerto Rican, it has been a joy to connect with American families and with people from Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and beyond. Every family has added something to this journey.
For me, clients become family.
I believe meaningful photographs should be within reach. My goal is to offer an experience that makes people want to come back, recommend us and trust us with the next chapter of their lives.
To everyone who has visited Apsolife: thank you. Your trust helped turn this passion into the work I am grateful to do today.
